Pic of V6
I'm pinching pennies, so I drove the car straight to Big Ten Tires as soon as I picked it up. They gave me a $50 trade-in allowance for the stock tires, and I bought Kuhmos in 235/60x16s for $69.95 each, so it ended up costing about twenty bucks per tire. The new tires are just as beefy as stock GT's, and handle as well.
Fortunately, I like the wheels that came with the car.
Also got a spoiler from Casco for a hundred bucks, which was already the right color.
Now, if only I can find a cheap way to get a GT rear bumper....

Toronado, it was very easy to peel off my stripes. I didn't even need to heat them up. My car was about 4 weeks old when I did that, so it may make a difference how long yours have been on there.
Donna, you've got the second-best looking V6 in the state of SC. Very nice.

Thanks!! Are you coming to the cruise in in Charlotte, NC on the 30th?
I removed the stripe with, no problems, after 6 months of Illinois winter. Just got under the corner edges of the tape with my thumb nail to get them started, and peeled them off. Did not have to use any heat scource in removal. Fifteen minutes total for both sides.

I couldn't tell you who makes these wheels, still trying to get an answer from Mark III... but I like 'em.

I couldn't tell you. I am waiting for Mark III to reply to my request for info. I am thinking of painting the lowest part of it black and getting some BOSS style stripes for the side. Not sure if anyone makes a
"GT 4.0" side panel stripe kit, but if they did, I would get it...

Hi Joe,
I have stock-size GT wheels (17"x8") with 255 wide rubber on a 50% aspect ratio. I like this size for several reasons:
1.) The rubber gives you almost an inch of cushion to protect the rims against curb damage.
2.) 50% aspect ratio rubber gives a nice classic muscle car look.
3.) 50% aspect ratio rubber is not too expensive (these are $100 each from Les Schwab).
4.) Chrome Bullitts are a good look on a Mustang.
5.) The Bullitt rim design is open and easy to wash.
The rims were about $220 each, also from Les Schwab.
I am still 100% satisfied with them after 4 months. My boy accidentally ran the Mustang up on the Post Office curb, and no damage! This is a very practical and good looking option.
Brian.
