Painted Headlight Buckets, Roush Wing, and More!

Well, I've had the car about six weeks now, and after having to pay $1,500 in state taxes I haven't had much money for mods I have been able to spiff her up a bit.

Big thanks to GTMark052, who made me an awesome deal on the headlights! I pulled them apart and painted them Vista Blue. In addition to that extremely annoying undertaking, I painted my grille pony, installed the 3D carbon splitters, hit the driving lights with VHT nightshades, and mounted a Roush wing. Not bad for a weekend's work

I'm not particularly fond of the large lights, which is why I temporarily blacked them out with the tint spray. Next mod on my list is a CDC black billet grille followed by the Roush kit including exhaust, then CAI and tuner.

Nice work for not having any mod money.

You did the paint work yourself? Looks great!

Those headlights turned out great, and your car looks terriffic! You definitely should be proud of the work you've done. There is no need for any thanks, I'm just happy that we were finally able to be at the same location at the same time LOL
Best of luck with the rest of your mods.

Thanks for all the kind comments! The splitters and wing came pre-painted, and I painted the running donkey and headlights myself

Thanks! I had my doubts until I saw the finished product, but I think this works well on darker colors. Not sure how it would look on a white or tungsten, etc.

Those wheels look flippin hot. Some springs and/or a chin spoiler would set that car off right.

It definitely looks like it's missing something up front! It was sooooo hard to not drop some coin on a chin spoiler immediately, but I decided to save that $250 - it's 1/4 of the loot I need for the Roush bumper

I may actually need your help on pulling the headlights apart myself, my right one is building up condensation and i've been putting it off forever.

Don't do it!!! It's a total PITA. I would never, ever, EVER do it again.

I've painted headlights for several different cars, most recently a 2007 Toyota Tundra and an EP Civic Si. All of the headlights I've baked were sealed with a silicone type seal and came apart easily when heated. NOT THE MUSTANG! Our lights are sealed with a hard glue, almost like body panel bonding glue! It has to chipped away and dremeled out of the housing channel in order to reseal

What I can do to help is swap you a light! I'll ship you my passenger light, and you send me yours. I just want my stockers as a backup anyways, so you could use my "nice" light more than I could. PM me your addy! I'll be in Texas for business next week, but I'll get them out as soon as I get back.

They are indeed fanblades. They are powdercoated black with several coats of clear on top.
