To those that are on the fence on this one, what about if the stock clear plastic were removed and something like the lens from the fogs - so it looked more like a "classic" headlight - were put in there? Think that would be better?

Not sure. Didn't someone post pics like that a while back... not very good pics though, IIRC.

I dont really think thts possible, you'd have to find a peice of curved plastic to glue to the backside, then also have plastic glued to the bacside where the "vents" are..... to keep the bulbs air tight.....

Sounds like that just might be a plan.

For those of you wondering how these will hold up when moisture is around, we just had our first true test over the last couple of days. There is zero moisture inside the bulbs. When it Roger sealed them he did a great job and as I thouht, there was no moisture inside.

I'd like to see the pics of the white one when it's done. Is it someone here on the board?

I think about it too. Maybe You can make it with fibre glas mats and resin. I've seen some bodyshoppers; they've repaird frontbumpers with it. With perfect finish and paint it looks better than bevore.

My plan is to cut out the plastic window and glue it on the reflector (for lenscover). I've seen some liquid rubber/silicone at the car part shop. Its right to make some electric parts (Lights incl.) waterproof.

The next step would be, to glue the inlay at the front end on the headlight box. I think i need a lot of filler or resin to do it. And now: Seal the black inlay with the new lens cover.

Last work: Sand it, smouth it and paint it.

The Question is: Is the black plastic inlay strong enougt to make it or have i to stabilize it with resin?

Its not easy, but interesting to think about it
