I think I remember it involving baking the stripes so they actually became part of the underlying paint. Not sure though.

975 dollars to paint Black LeMans stripes on the car. 4-5 day wait. Smooth clearcoat finish. Now do I ask my fiance for permission or just do it and tell her my car has to be in the shop for 4 days?

don't tell your GF and go with pink stripes.... that way when you get you're car back, you're GF will think you did it for her and won't be quite as pissed.....

both problems solved.....

Pink is out. :notnice:

Black or ghosting MG are my two remaining choices for color. I have been talked out of dark shadow grey.

One other point of concern. If you have a spoiler, do you paint the stripe under the spoiler only, or add it to the spoiler too?

If you're gonna paint, I'd definitely do a variation of MG so then no one else would have the same thing. (That's just me, I like having something a little different) As for the spoiler I would stripe it too. It'd look like something was missing if you didn't.

Who cares what the GF thinks it's your money! Women will never understand the value of mods so why try? Just do it, let her get mad or whatever. Once they're on there she can't make you take them back so she'll just have to get over it!

BTW I just saw "fiancee" so you better go on and get it done now while you still have full control of your wallet!

Why do you think I bought the 05! I know that once I get married its over.

This is why I am buying now, so I am in agreement with you.

Haha, that's the same reason I ordered mine. I have been with the GF for 6 years now, so the pressure is definitely on. She's kinda mad that i'm not buying a ring, (and not getting rid of any of the other cars) but she is just gonna have to deal with it! Diamonds are too expensive, besides it's just a piece of compressed coal anyway. I cant afford both, so the car comes first hehe. Maybe I could run over some coal a bunch of times w/ my new stang and make her a diamond hahaha

Seriously she's a great girl (and pretty dang hot too) but I guess I just still have that young mentality, gotta take care of #1 first. The ring will come next year.

You guys have the right idea. I was whipped big time when I was at the point you guys are at, and now I regret some of the sacrifices I made.

Well it is starting.

My fiance wants me to not do it... :bang:

My dad wants me to not do it... :bang:

I am wavering on my color choice for stripes... I want DS Grey... I don't want DS Grey...

I lose my car for at least 4 days to get this done too. :notnice:

Why don't you just go to a sign shop and get a scrap piece of vinyl to see if you like that colour on your car before getting it painted.

I have a dark charcoal interior. I think that DS Grey gives a dark charcoal type of stripe that will look good. At night it will be very stealthy too.

Decisions, decisions

Gap is too wide and I don't like the rims. The colour, not bad.

Like the black stripes. They are too far apart though. Car needs bullets too.
Now imagine dark shadow grey in place of that black? UMMMM GOOD

Update on the fiance, she will let me do it.

Thanks for the photo, it gives me strength.
