To paint or not to paint? (Agent 47 mirrors)

Installed my Agent 47 mirrors and now I'm trying to decide wether or not to paint them. If I do I plan just painting the mirror housing like in the pic below. So with that said should I paint or do they look good as is?

(Not my car.)

Pics of the mirrors on my car "unpainted'.

Paint the entire assembly, it will look way more custom that way IMO.

I assume the color and texture are similar to the stocks??? Funny, on my Redfire I'd probably have to think about it since I'm OK with the way it stock color goes with my car. Your black is tooo slick for that I think though! I think painted is the way to go for you.

Here are my thoughts:
1. Because your car is black you can get away without painting them.
2. For most colors, painting looks better (except white or black cars).
3. I do not like the paint job on that G O car.
I think it should be painted to the edge of the base or the whole piece (especially with a black car).
4. I wouldn't spend the money: but face it, painted to match will look good.

I would paint the entire mirror assembly to match your exterior color. I think the "two-tone" works better with lighter colors and is really not much of a benefit on a black car. You could get by without painting them but you went to the trouble of getting cool mirrors; you should finish them.

If you had any other color Mustang I'd say paint them without question.

Because you've got the satin/flat black accents on your car they will compliment them and you can go leaving them unpainted.

so my .02. Unpainted.

Obviously I'm a huge fan of the two-tone painting of these mirros. But with your car, I don't think it's worth it. It'll look good, no doubt. But I don't think it's needed with a black car, especially since you have satin accents.

I vote for no paint. Goes with the flat back exterior theme

I think they look fine unpainted, but would look a lot better painted.

i dunno ive got a black gt and id paint mine...but you have the shaker and the stripe in flat and the mirrors accent it all. Maybe leave them for a few months then paint them...kind of change it up..it will make you feel like another brand new mod!

I voted to not paint as mine are on a torch red convertible with a black cloth top. The unpainted mirrors match the color of the original mirrors and compliment my red and black theme. I'm going to add a black Willpak chin spoiler and some black BSM side stripes. I'm still without a digital camera as my son broke our last one.
