Much Much better!!
your car looks awesome!!

I am new here and do not know alot about Mustangs' yet.
I love the "GT350 sripe you have on the side of your car, where did you get that? and (Super Noob question) what does the GT350 stand for for ? is it because that is the car the S197(05, 06 GT) is model after?

Apologies in advance,
Ashveem

Thanks for the compliment Ashveem. The GT350 stripes is what was used on the Shelby GT350s from 68-70. I got them from graphic-express.com.

Nice looking ride, Kevin.

You were right to press until you found a shop that would give you a satisfactory match. There are plenty of body shops out there to choose from! The first attempt looked a little pale; it looked like they shot school bus yellow instead of screaming yellow. The current match is much closer.

Screaming Yellow was my second favorite. I love the color because it's so in-your-face! Aside from the shock value, it is a pleasant alternative to what is already on the roads today and you can't beat it's safety benefits. It's hard to miss! Good luck with your car. It looks awesome!

Wish I would have seen your post back when you posted it. I too have the SY and the RK Sport hood. When we got the car back from the painter, I knew it didn't match. I was told by the body shop mgr that it was the fiberglass. BS I thought. The hood had a red tint to it, and the rest of the car almost has a green tint to it. I took it to a local body shop and the mgr said it has nothing to do with fiberglass, most likely the wrong base coat. I had him redo the hood and blend into the fenders. It's 100% now. Glad you got yours fixed. It looks fantastic...

I don't know about anyone else, but we're having one helluva time finding people that take pride in their work. It gets really frustrating after a while...

Thanks for comments everyone

Frank: I definately agree it's hard to find someone that takes pride in their work. I want 4.10 gears, but I nearly pass out just thinking about finding someone here to install them. BTW, your car looks outstanding

I love this hood and think i'm going to get one in the spring. Just curious, what does labor usually cost for a good paint job and instalation?

The reason the color waso ff from the first shop, was becuase they shot it over a gray primer or sealer...... When shooting yellow and ertain other colors, you must shoot white first, which obviously your 2nd shop got right. But if its any consolation, on my car from the factory, non of the body panels matched, not a single one, and its screamin yellow aswell.
