Thumbs up

OK gang, I know my signature is for a Mach1 but I've graduated to an 05

So here is the plan: my logic says get the 17x9 bullits, add 275 40 Firehawk Wide Ovals all around and go racing again!

I'm lookin for opinions and leaning towards the anthracite ones like this http://www.mustangtuning.com/2005-anthraci...7x9-wheels.html with either spinners (first choice), or pony caps, (would even consider the new stock ford caps). I had thought black would be cool but may be too dark. I like some contrast. Does anyone have a set of these and do they fit right? Worst case, if I was to go to 18s I would have to wait till someone (FRPP) offers them in an 18x9 or 9.5 and go with ? size tires. Really though, 17s will do just fine...

Those pics oughta give ya enough to comment...

Here's the old ride (she was once the Featured Filly on this site) in case ya were wonderin, I was inbetween rides for six months driving the Ranger and BOY am I Glad to be back in a STANG!

I'll have that SHAKER back in my face on the 05 soon too 'cause I really enjoyed it on the 03 and this BOSS ride is just beggin for it!

:worship: Props to all who comment, and Thanks!

Car looks fantastic!! I notice you helmet matches your '05 in that first picture. I don't have any opinions for wheels . . although Bullitts would look cool.

Look's great! I think black bullit's would look the best. They would play into your hood and spoiler and the race theme in general.

That looks great - finally someone blacked out the hood like the old Mach 1s...

You absolutely have to post pics with a Shaker and Bullits!!!

usual stuff you gotta have, 2 parking lot permits, mustang club, Route 66 club, Ford Racing, etc.,
some people like 'em some don't, Since I'm an old motorhead I like 'em but my wife doesn't...but that's where that spice has kept us together through 14 Mustangs over 25 years!

I'll vote for the black also. Hood looks great, can't wait to see it with the shaker. Your Mach looks pretty good too. I've got a buddy with both a '71 and '03 blue Machs, I need to get together with him some time to compare our blue Mustangs.

Were you autocrossing or drag racing?

LOVE the blacked-out hood and hood pins! Blacking out the rear panel, and maybe some rear window louvers would really complete the effect! A shaker would be a huge cherry on top of an already sweet ride. I'm not too crazy about the big "05" on the side, though, and I think the "350R" is pushing it a bit. (You're messing with a legend there.) Nice touch not repeating the GT on the fender. Your car looks great. Thanks for sharing.

As I stated in the stripes thread, I think it looks great. I asked in the other thread, but will ask again here:

Where did you get the hood painted?

I wonder how that would look in Vista blue with a Fang performance or proglass hood (the one with the pointy center ridge like the 69-70 stangs) and shaker.
