Paint code for matte black section on GT/CS rear bumper?

After my accident last weekend, I decided it's a good time to upgrade from the stock rear bumper to the GT/CS. My question is about the black center panel on the CS bumper, the one between the tailpipes. Does anyone know the paint code for that section so that I can give it to the shop? It looks like a matte black, but the specific color would be great.

I just had our body shop throw down their best matte black when we had our GT500 rear and rockers put on last year. The color they came back with was called Rally Black. If you've got nothing else on the car to match it to, you can pretty much get away without a paint code.

I am with Mark, if you get a GT/CS bumper. Now a GT500 bumper with need the outer portions painted to match.

I disagree. The gelcoat from ford is a very dark grey, it's not quite black. Getting it painted looks much better than just leaving it be.

Well, either way, my insurance told me "negative" on going with the CS bumper, so I guess I don't need the paint code. Interesting to hear that the same bumper comes prepped differently for different cars though.

Dark gray, matte black? It all flows with the trim on the car. I would still work it out with your bodyshop and get a GT/CS bumper thru the accessory book. I done this and many others have as well.

Why did they say negative to you getting the CS bumper? What you should do, is just pay the difference between the cost of the stock GT rear bumper, and the CS bumper.

and yes the sides do flow well with the trim

Well I am doing the same thing, but I am paying the paint shop the difference. Insurance does not need to know. Be sure to order the bumper service kit Kevin (cleveparts) posted ... its almost $200 less than the bumper cover alone.

The ones (Shelby GT and GT500) I have looked at on the dealer appear not to be painted between the tail pipes.
