oil drain valve
At first glance, it looks like a good idea, but it raises two questions:
1.) Would this valve be prone to impact damage, as it would hang down further than the stock drain plug?
2.) After 200,000 miles, you will have performed 40 oil changes. This device will save you 30 seconds per oil change, or a total of 20 minutes. The net effect is that we assume our time is worth $60 per hour, which for many of us our weekend "free" hours don't bill-out that high. We also could easily spend 20 minutes buying this thing, thereby negating its time-saving purpose. Even just writing this note does not bode well for me purchasing one of these valves. I’ve already burned 5 minutes of my 20!

"1.) Would this valve be prone to impact damage, as it would hang down further than the stock drain plug?"
This was my first question also. Does this hang down far enough to be broken off - leaving you with no oil.
I was also thinking of saving any thread wear by not having to remove and replace the plug over the life of the car.

I would guess that something like the following would be better.
Aeroquip Quick-Drain
MBX Quick Drain
