Paint will last longer, but once painted, you're stuck with em. Vinyl is usually good for about 7 years on average, but can be removed at any time. 3M is generally accepted as the best vinyl on the market. Unless I am mistaken, all three of these companies sell 3M, although Baltimorestreetmods has special made vinyl that looks more like paint.

I am Baltimorestreetmods, so obviously a little bias there, but check out all three.
Hey Rob,
I was wondering if you could give me a little advice. My stang came with stripes, but I think theyre too small (8' and change). I want to buy one of your stripe kits sometime when it warms up, but I need to know how to get the old ones off. Can you offer any advice? Is it DIY etc

Thanks man,
Colin

Colin,

Just a suggestion to save you some money; try adding a pinstripe to the outside of each stripe.

To remove the stripes, just heat them up with a hair dryer (at the points you're pulling) and slowly pull them off. If any residue remains, use some gunk remover. I prefer to use rubbing alcohol.

New Strpes are on.....how do they look. I went with a 2 inch gap between stripes....Ordered from Bob White Graphics, installed by body shop.

Thanks for posting. I'll add you to the spreadsheet. Are your stripes 10" wide?

there is a grille there, and it was only an experiment. Maybe I should have put my GT emblem there?

7 inch stripes with pinstriping on both inside and out, closed off at trunk. Not the greatest pix, but you get the idea.

Here are my stang's stripes:

Pianted on top using 1992 Ford Rio Red 12" with 4" gap
Pianted on side using (this isn't a mistake) 2008 Ford Royal Blue and the Red mentioned above. Dupont had already labeled the Blue Ford for 2008.
The ponies are 6" tall vinyl stickers White with Charcaol Gray outlines.
