Hey everyone. Thanks to posts in the Mustang Source I started questioning my purchase of the black Bullitts (with Pony Spinners) from my dealer which I'll be switching for my factory-colored Bullitts when the car arrives. I should have questioned this earlier - from experience with my former F150 and the Lightning chromed wheel bolts I tried to purchase from Ford. Couple of years ago I needed a 2nd set.....from Ford Parts, they were $8.00 EACH!! Checked into Ford Racing and found the exact same things, in a set of 5, for $23.00. (KEEP IN MIND....ALL OF THESE PRICES ARE CDN so reduce US $ accordingly).

Anyways....the Ford Part # for a Black Bullitt with Pony Spinner, 5R3Z-1007-DA, and 5 bolts (all in a kit) came in at $493.00 list price EACH. Then I got smart and checked Ford Racing. The '05 Black Bullitt wheels are numbered M-1007-T178B and they'll be priced at around $232.00 each. The 05's aren't available until March says FR but for comparison, their '04 black Bullitt wheel is $232.00 each. (The only difference between the two wheels is backspacing: 5.295" for the '05 version versus 5.72" for the '94-04 version). Add a set of Pony Spinners ($120.00 Cdn) and the bottom line is:

For a set of Black Bullitts, Spinners and lugs from Ford - $1660.00 Cdn
For a set of Black Bullitts from FR (with Spinners from Ford) -$1070.00 Cdn.

(Note - the Spinners are from Ford, not FR)

Both above need tax but the point is - lots of $$ difference between the Ford parts and Ford Racing. And both products are EXACTLY the same.

Buyer beware, if you're considering a set of different colored OEM Bullitts, wait until they're ready from the Ford Racing side.

Regards, Mark
