O-NEX new HID system found!!

Well I just found this at one of the sites I check out, thought some might want to see it. It is a low beam only HID kit, but for the price it might be worth it. There is also a pull down menu on the site which allows you to pick the wattage/color it is displacing from 3000k-10000k with them stating that the most popular color was the 6000kwhite. Is that the best range for the HID color 6000? Made by O-NEX IT SEEMS.

For about $20 more you can get top quality Bi-Xenon hi/lo sets. OEM HIDs are 4500k in color, 6000 will be slightly bluer but very nice.

I have the BiXenons in my GT500 and am very happy with them. Would like to add HIDs to the fog lamps too but no one makes them for that application yet.

You could just get Sylvania H10 bulbs that will make your Foglights White, and they would probably match fairly well, with the HIDs. But its just a thought...

Check this out. http://www.stangmods.com/Mustang-HID...it-p/00665.htm

Not sure if the GT500 fogs are the same size or not. If not, get in touch with Matt @ stangmods & he will let you know if he can find them.

I used to have the 6000k kit on my 04 and am getting ready to put them on my 05 (bi-xenon kit) from him.

HID is meant to run in a HID housing....putting HID in a halogen housing will cause a ton of glare for other drivers.
I put a HID kit in my previous car and had the projectors modified correctly to run the HID. HID is supposed to have a very sharp 'cutoff line' at the top of the beam so you're not burning the retinas of other drivers.

Unfortunatly the fogs in the GT500 are not H-10s. Some wierd bulb only ford has......I might change out the whole fog lamp housing. Donno.

Here is a pic of my Saleen HID with the SilverStar fogs. The SilverStars are closer then stock, but you can still tell the difference.

well you said top quality bi xenon hi low hid for 20 bucks more, I see a couple of kits on there for about the same price, but i wouldnt say any hid on ebay labeled bi xenon as top quality. What brand are you referring to as top quality, I see a few sets different names from same seller on there.

Here is a link to a current auction for the ones I bought. Includes plug in wiring harness, 4 ballasts, relays etc. Works VERY well.

Thanks jcthorne,
guy sells them for 280, and he also can get the foglight kit for 140, he said 420 shipped for the headlights and foglights shipped., sounded like a really cool guy, he emailed me with a lot of info on the different color ranges etc. When I got some extra flow I will be chatting with him I think.
thanks again for the link

He was very helpful to me as well, even after the sale during my install. The issue was mine, not his but he was happy to help none the less.

Now if only I could get some HID lamps to fit the GT500 fogs......

The GT500 uses an unubtanium bulb that no one has ever heard of. Not even most dealers have it. The GT uses a pretty standard H10 bulb. I am thinking about retrofitting some new housings that use a standard lamp into the GT500 but it will take some research to figure out what will fit well and look near to stock. Perhaps some late 80s mustang gt fogs.......
