Talking Next Shelby GT500 Conversion Coming Soon !!!

Ordered my front fascia and rear bumper from KC today. Its going to take
me some time in order to put the full conversion together - if I go that
route. Going to look at the Hertz GT-H hood tomorrow in FT. Lauderdale
to see if am going with that hood of the Shelby GT500 hood.
I hope to complete by October 14th for the 7TH Annual Steeda Stampede which will be held on at the Steeda Campus in Pompano Beach, Florida. From 9:00 AM through 1:30 PM. I want to sent my thanks out to: 2L8IWON , sscobra , SoFL05GT , OKLACOP and especially 05stangkc for answering all my questions regarding this conversion.

I wonder how my Windveil Blue Mustang GT would look as a Shelby GT500
with silver stripes - anyone have any pics?

Good luck with the transformation. I have no doubt it will look sharp when complete! Just post plenty of pix, and hopefully I get to see it in person someday at possibly Tower Shops.

Do you all meet there every Saturday? What time?
Thanks for the directions, just need to know what time you all get together
there - is this a popular hang out for Mustang Enthusiasts?

Hey GTRacerX,

Good luck on the conversion. You won't be disappointed!!!!!!!!! I vote for the stripes too!!!!! Your car is gonna look sweet. We want pics too! I'd like to see some pics of the conversion in progress if it isn't too much trouble. Let any of us know if you have any questions along the way. I think I can speak for all of us with the conversion when I say we will be happy to answer any further questions.

The Tower Shops get-togethers are every Friday night, like 5pm to maybe 9pm. There's always at least 20 or more stangs. With one exception, all the stangs park in the NE area/portion of the event. The exception are the stangs that park in the 1974 or less section. Also, it costs $1 to show your car. Parking around the perimeter of the event is free.

GTRacerX,

Good luck on your conversion. I got my parts on order with KC also. The hood and the chin spoiler are sitting in the garage waiting for the other parts. Still have to decide who is going to get to paint my car.

Decision finally made......

After going back on forth on Shelby CS6 hood and CDC ducktail /
Full Shelby GT500 conversion - I've decided to go with the full Shelby GT500 conversion and yes become a poser !!! What the hell , I'll probably drop in a ford teksid aluminum block, forged internals - slap a supercharger on it and pump up the boost to 12 psi !!

This is probably going to become a two year project to build my ultimate ford mustang. Love the looks of the Shelby GT500 - so here comes the full conversion. Then am looking at wheels & tires, interior will follow.

Cool! It should look sweet in that blue...... I am hoping to have mine all done (full conversion) by the beginning part of october. I hope so!! I want to be able to drive it before it goes to bed for the winter! I plan on having all custom leather installed in the spring as well. By the time i finish her with all the performance mods etc, the Shelby gt500 will probably finally be availible at msrp! Then i'll trade up for the real thing! He, He!!

Question SFLA Body Shop ....

Anyone know of a good one down here that does quality work and takes pride in their work? Its hard to find good body shops these days. I've heard a few
horror stories from family and friends and want to avoid the headaches. One
I have all the parts in I want to get it done pretty quick.

Anyone, Anyone ......

I feel like the teacher in ferris bueller's day off. lol
I've got to pay off the bills on the 15th and still manage to scrape enough
money together to buy the Shelby GT500 hood. Then am buying either
the Shelby GT500 rear ducktail spoiler or the hood vents. This is going to
be an expensive project. So I need to know if anyone out there in SFLA
knows of a decent body shop that won't rob me and can do a top notch
job on my babies body !!

Sorry man, when I lived in Kendall Miami I would go to World Ford. One of my best friends was the body shop manager, he has since moved to Cali.
There WAS a place called Fender Mender, they painted the Razor's Edge Lightning and do GREAT work. Try them.
