Yep. Instal is very easy. Wheels do NOT have to come off. (Hey, I'm 60, and did it.) And your all correct. They belong. Just get yourself the stealth bulbs. And they look great on all the colours too.

Especially mine

Here in the US, are these clear turn signals legal? I am from Sweden (will be going back in October with the Mustang, hehe), and there it is mandatory.

I was just thinking if I should make the switch to clear ones, right away? Anybody know of legal requirements here in the US for these lights?

Amber is required. Sooooooooooo, we just change out the lenses, and put in the stealth bulbs. Although I do not 'believe' you would get pulled over for it, in those States which have motor vehicle inspections, they must be amber lit inorder to pass. (Down here, we are an aggracultural state, therefore, no vehicle inspections.

Do you have a website where you got them? I am looking for a set that is all clear, not the ones with the amber insert.

I found this on wikpedia regarding the reflector portion of the front turn signals:
North American regulations also require amber front and red rear side-facing retroreflectors

From: L.A. area
If I have understood it correctly the Californai VC says that parking lights may be amber or white, and that side front relectors may be displayed..like it is an option. Then another section talks about side reflectors, and also front bumper lights. All a bit cofusing, so I said "screw it" and went with amber parking lights and clear "side lights" Makes for a cool combo!
