New Tires for Factory Fanblades

Hi all,

I need to replace my original tires which are 235/50/18. I am keeping my factory 18 inch fanblades, but would like to go a little wider on tires(particularly the rear tires) without changing the height(diameter). What would be the right size to go to? How wide can I go in the rear? I have the stock suspension and SCT/Bamachips 91 race tune...Thanks!

Yep, I put 255/45/18's on mine less than 100 miles after I got the car. BFGoodrich KDW2's. 22K miles, and there's still lots of tread left.

Okay that sounds good. I was going to stick with the BF Goodrich too because the original BF's have over 34K on them now and have held up good. Has anyone thought about or tried 255/45/18 in the front, and even wider in the back? How wide can you go on the stock wheels?

Interesting, I was going to have the same question at some point. Pics anyone? I'd like to see how they fall off the rim. (jayguy, tried looking at your mods in your sig but your link is broke due to the forum upgrade. Oh, and leo, I can't look at your album until I get home since I don't have access to photobucket at work.. wasn't sure if you have tire pics in there)

Heh, I never thought to check on the link after the upgrades. I've fixed my sig link, just need to clean it up later.
