New Shelby GT Grille finally installed...

After having a problem with the finish of the vertical brace bars (the paint looked like it was rubbing off, but I got some touch-up paint and fixed it), not receiving the brackets in the initial order and getting a back-up grille, I finally was able to install my new Shelby GT grille! I really like it! It's hard to see in the pics, but I also added the chrome trim to the outside of the grille and it actually looks pretty decent... The pictures never do billet type grilles justice, but I have to say overall, I am happy with the grille! I am just sad I had to lose fogs... I wasn't a big fan of the huge fogs anyway, but still... Anyway, here's a few pics... Enjoy!

Of course I am bias, BUT it looks great. I like the chrome trim around the surround too.

Hmmm... I may think about it...

I am liking the grille so far clean looking without the emblem, so it'll probably stay that way... I went out to take pics last night and noticed people already staring...

The only thing I may have to do is take it back out and paint the section behind the grille black... The locking part, it's not real visable, but I did notice it, especially since I have a white car... I'll give it a few days and keep looking at it to see, cause so far I can only really see it up close...

Thanks guys!

So, has Shelby started offering the entire billet grille and shell, or is modification of the factory grille still requisite?

As far as I know, no, Shelby still doesn't offer a bracket... You still need to modify the stock GT grille... Which sucks, but overall, it looks okay, but I would still seriously think about getting the Shelby shell if/when they ever release one...

For back-up! I didn't know if I was going to like it or not and once you hack up the grille, there's no turning back! So now since I do like, if I ever get tired of the billet grille or ever trade/sell the car, I can swap the stock GT grille back in...
