I am very intrested to see if their quality has improved. I have to say, I think this new hood is a much better design than the previous. Jay, I cant wait to see how it turns out

The Hood is functional bringing fresh, cool air directly into the inlet for increased airflow and performance.
Thats an awesome hood. It should of been an option for the GT or something. I dont get why they didnt use it.

I ordered mine today from RK Sport. Wes (nice guy) said they should ship in about 3 week's. I talked to him for awhile concerning fit, finish, and overall quality... After Bryan's ordeal I thought those were important topic's to discuss with him. Everything sound's good, but rest assured if it cost more than $500 (in bodywork) it's right back to California for that hood.
Justin, I spoke with Jim (RK sales manager) about the hood this morning. He said 3 to 4 weeks and they are making a little more room for superchargers. I can't wait for mine, I was thinking of driving down to Cali to have them fit it.

Keep me posted Johnny, I woud be interested in this option. That way if it's not up to par I won't have to ship it back....I'm down for a road trip, what part of Cali are the in?

I do not think this hood beats out the Shelby 500 hood. Also, since the scoops are positioned so far forward, I wonder, but do not know, if the air pressure issue with the stock hood is corrected or not?

I elect to wait.

yeah -- but getting that shelby hood also means replacing the front grille, front bumper, prolly even the light assembly due to the change in demensions... I don't know about you -- but sounds line alot of dinero $$$ after it's all said & done.

& if you do all that - might as well just buy a shelby IMO. This hood prolly doesn't beat the shelby 500 hood - but IMO looks much better than most of the aftermarket hoods out there.

( on a side note - 1 thing I noticed is that there aren't any wiper fluid jets on the picture of this hood ???? )

Thats the one I have been waiting for!!!!
Anyone get this hood yet?
How does it fit?
How does it do at high speeds?
I would also like to see the underside to see how the ram air works.

Is this one fiberglass like their other one?

Can I get some opinions on a fiberglass hood? (it kinda concerns me)

Also, if it is fiberglass then wouldn't it be a good idea to get hood pins for it?

This will be my first fiberglass hood -- so I don't know what to expect -- but I've heard good things. I ordered mine on the 8th & was told that if I plan to drive faster than 80mph investing in hood pins would be wise. I ordered my pins from Ford Racing Performance Parts.

Ordered mine today. Now for the one month wait since they are on back order.
Hope this wait is not as hard as the wait for the car.
I have been waiting for this hood ever since I saw the Concept car.
I wish Ford would have made this one an option.
I hope it looks this good.

Very nice, would look sharp w/ the shelby stripes..

I like the hood but the scoopes are too far apart for lemans stripes. Guess I will have to wait for a different idea.

I worked out o.k. for the original Shelby's. I'm going to keep my Shelby stripe's just as they are and "tuck" them into the scoop's.

Just e-mailed RK Sport with several questions on this hood.
Asked if they had any pictures of the inside showing how the Ram air works also.
I will let you all know if I get a response.
I wonder how the hood would look with black stripes just behind the scoops?

That looks like a great hood, I am starting to really get into this new hood deal. I thought I was having a tough enough time convincing the wife of why I need performance parts, now this........ gonna be a long summer.
