Those with real Cali Dream Hoods: Help!
Those with real Cali Dream Hoods: Help!
I think I got suckered on Ebay by someone claiming to be selling this hood. They stated clearly that the manufacturer was RKSport, but when I got the hood, something didn't seem right. My biggest gripe is that the vents have no grills in them. Is there any stamp or nameplate on the real hoods that clearly says "made by RKSport"? I spoke with RKSport and they said they recently had to confront a seller on Ebay who was claiming to sell one of their hoods.
The actually seller is a re-seller, so I think the person that was confronted by rksport sent the hood to this guy to try to sell on Ebay.
Any info you all have on the real mccoy would be helpful, thanks!

It was a delivery. I have seen knockoffs online as well, but this seller clearly said the hood was made by RKSport which is the only reason I jumed in. He had over 4000 sales with a 99%+ ratin. Buyer-Beware, but I think I have some ground to stand on in this case. Besides the vents not having the grills, how can I tell/prove this is not a true RKSport hood?
They weren't included because it is not a real CD hood. I contacted RKSport for more info and they told me ALL CD hoods come with the grills/mesh in the inlets. He also said the hood comes fully functional. The one I received needed to have the plate cut out on the underside of the hood where the air box will sit to make it functional.
The seller has actually been pretty good. We have traded emails and he seems willing to straighten this out. His whole business is selling stuff on ebay so I don't think he wants me to ruin that. We'll see.
