Oh definitely aftermarket, but looks like good quality (even from the smallish image) But what about the rear seat head room?!?

What rear seat? You mean that is not just a lunch box holder. Just kidding, I like the sun roof

Does it retract inside the roof, or does it stay visible inside the car? If it is a true moonroof that stays inside the roof of the car, sign me up- I'll order it now to prevent any wait.

The thought of cutrting into the roof is just a little too much for me right now. Maybe in the future.

I dont think ford will have this as an option. The dealers work with aftermarket companies to get them. The one I was going to get installed is a company named webasto. They have been around all over, and they do have the moonroof etc. Different sunroofs available I believe. I am not at home right now, but I believe you can go to webasto.com then click on sunroofs, location etc, and eventually you can find a dealer near you that can install them. You can add them at anytime, and they look as good as factory too me. Got mine put in my last gran prix I had. Good luck
Try this link, and pick dealer info.

Ya, I'd rather get the glassback than a sunroof.

Is it just me or does the sunroof look out of place on the mustang? My previous two cars had sunroofs and I loved it... but when I bought the stang I accepted the fact that this is not a sunroof kinda car. Am I crazy?

Maybe if the glass was wider? Those little ones look more like an escape hatch than a sunroof.

IMO the sunroof takes awy from the cars appearance, I would never opt to have this installed on an 05 period..

I had a moonroof on my BMW and loved it. I would gladly spend the moeny for one.

However, the BMW unit slid back into the roof, so you would never see it like a spoiler on the roof.
