New hood time. Need opinions

So, my Mustang is suffering from the bubbling paint leprosy that Ford denies. The hood is just about ready to call it quits and I need to know a corse of action. #1 I can get the stock hood repainted. #2 I can get an aftermarket hood. #3 is kinda part of #2... I'm not to fond of fiberglass hoods and can't afford a CF hood. I would like an aluminum hood but I did find a steel hood that looks nice. Can I get some input from you guys and gals about Fiberglass hoods (the good and the bad) and I was wondering if any of you had your stocker repainted and did the bubbling paint come back? I'm not a flashy guy so hood pins and BIG scoops are not my style. Thanks!Name: BD67CAE3-B2E6-422A-8F62-9E31EA830525-2185-00000154F1F55B80_zps5912df28.jpg

After looking at a ton of hoods I went with the cobra r hood from cervinies. Fit was spot on. I'm guessing it would be around 800 or so to repaint your current hood.

what steel hood did you find? never heard of any before...the foose hood is aluminum, I thought all the rest were glass or carbon...

Ive read of a couple guys that had theirs redone and were happy, and a couple that said it came back, so guess it depends on the bodyshop's knowledge of properly acid etching/sealing the aluminum or whatever the permanent fix is- if there is one.

did you see the pics I took at the auto show in the 'ugh' thread? these hood issues I'm afraid are still being bred today the most depressing part is ford dont seem to care what the seams look like, ragged/burred/whatever, but look at the hyundai cheep car seams, they are beautiful... its sad
