I thought you all would like to see the new grille conversion kit for the 6 cylinder 05 Mustangs. This will be available within the next couple of weeks from Street Scene. This kit is made to bolt directly in to the 6 cylinder Mustang as it uses all the 6 cylinder mounting tab. It is the correct size and shape for the 6 so no modes need to be made. The grille shell is made from urethane and will come black satin powder coated. It will use the factory GT lights and will contain a Street Scene Speed Grille. You will need to order the lights directly from Ford. The Speed Grille inserts will be available in your choice of Black Chrome, Black Powder Coat, brushed aluminum or chrome. It will come so that you can wire it directly to your parking lights so each time you turn on your lights the driving lights will come on OR you can order the optional wire harness kit that will include the dash mounted switch, wire harness, plugs for the lights and relay. Prices are still being worked on at this time. This kit is made to make the 6 cylinder look just like the GT. ( except for the Speed Grilles) I will post pictures on a 6 as soon as the package becomes available.

Mike!
Quick question on grills but NOT this one - there was a pic from an auto show a while back of a Red GT with white striipes from Galpin Ford (?)

It had the black grill but the Pony was gone and the fogs were close in the cneter - the sign in the back listed it as a Street Scene custom grill kit or soemthing like that - is this in the works or something that will be available??...

I really dig this look and need to know - thanks!

Burke- Yes-- Right now, we are finishing up the 6 cylinder GT grille conversion grille that you see above. We will then release a center mount light grille like the one you saw at the LA Auto Show. We will do the GT grille shell first, then follow it up sometime late in the summer with the one that works for the 6 cylinder. Three grille shells in all. Just to clarify, the GT and 6 cylinder grilles are diffrent shapes and have diffrent mounting points thats why we needed to build 3 diffrent grille shells.

Awesome!
Thanks for the info Mike - any other details would be cool when you get them. Any idea of an ETA?...

(Sorry - stoked about this!)

The one you see above should be ready in about 2 to 3 weeks. The GT center mount grille should be about 5 weeks and the 6 cylinder center mount will be later- probally around August- we have a bunch of stuff to do before that one gets done..

Mike, I noticed on the Galpin car the center mounted fogs looked like they were clipped on to the front of the speed grille, is that the final design, or will they be recessed like the normal GT grill (lights inside)?

Fast- It will be more like the OE part- we didnt have a real shell for the Galpin one. We are making real grille shell molds that look somewhat like the OE grille shell with the lights inside. They will use the OE lights with the same tabs in the back to mount the lights. You will need to buiy the lights from Ford to make it all come together but I think that is a better look. The only diffrence is that our grille shell will use the Speed Grille instead of the plastic honeycomb that comes OE.

Here is an updated picture of our 6 cylinder grille shell. I thought you would enjoy seeing the progress as it makes its way through the design center. This insert will be available in black powder coat, black chrome, brushed aluminum ( as shown) or Chrome. The rings around the lights are same as OE and it uses the OE lights. Its made to work with the 6 cylinder front end. ( Im attempting to show you both the front and the back side of this shell)

Looks good, Mike... but I can't wait for the center-mount grill for the GT.
