New GT emblems installed
#1
Hello everyone:
Well, I found the emblems that I wanted and promised some on here that I would post pictures. The emblems are reproduction 1968 Mustang GT emblems. They are not plastic. David from T-N-T Mustang Connection, ( co-owner) sold me these. http://www.tntmustangconnection.com/
For a couple bucks he removed the rear tabs and put on 3M tap, sending me a finished product ready for installation.
The removal of the original GT emblems took only a couple minutes. I used a plastic card similar to a credit card, to slide behind the emblems and gently applied pressure. The emblems came off with no damage to paint nor emblems. I then took the 3M protective backing off the new emblems and placed in on the old ones for safe storage. Entire job took 20 minutes.
Personally I love the look of the '68 GT emblems on my car, they are keepers. The High Performance emblems under the GT emblems are a seperate item and were under the old emblems, they are from.

Sorry, I cannot get these pictures up here, I will try later. They are small enough and I have plenty of space on the site in regards to downloads. Just for some reason they will not load into the forum.

Thanks. I am very happy with these emblems, they look awsome in person. One gentleman commented about them not matching the rear emblem, well they don't and that is just fine by me. The running pony rear badge may look sharp. But my mustang purchases are on hold since we closed on a house last Monday. Time for honey doooooooooos. Plus my Pony will have chelter now.
I am keeping the old emblems, I packed them up for safe keeping. They have them for $20.00 on ebay. Just search Mustang emblems on Ebay search.

Looks good with the retro-emblems on Windveil Blue. I'm going to leave the stock emblems on, but I am looking to obtain the right size script lettering (emblem) for the dash area above the glovebox, on the brushed panel.

Thanks everyone. These emblems do look good with this color, and maybe that is what led me to them, or is it that they are from the 68 GT. Well, since my plates read 68WANAB. Glad most liked them. I love to see everyones personal touches on their cars.
