New 17x10.5 SN-95 Bullitts. Will they on the rear of an S197?
New 17x10.5 SN-95 Bullitts. Will they on the rear of an S197?
From searching this site, I know that 94-04 bullitts have a 24mm offset and the 05+ has 45mm with factory bullitts. I've read that the minimum offset for an S197 is either 32, 34, or 35mm (various sources say different min offset)
I've also learned that aftermarket 05 18x9 bullitts have a 36mm or 38mm offsets
I've seen 94-04 18x9 bullitts with 24mm and 18x10 bullitts with 22mm offset and 6.37" backspace
What caught my eye was these particular 17x10.5" bullitts with 27mm offset and 6.9" backspace http://www.marketworks.com/storefron...374&i=19227042
It's doesn't meet the min recommended offset, but it's closer than most 94-04 style wheels.
My question is whether these particular bullitts would fit properly on the rear of a S197. One idea I'm toying with is keeping the factory front silver bullitts and get deep dish rear bullitts. Unfornuately I can't find any 05+ silver deep dish bullitts and this was the best solution I could come up with so far.

Do the math. When you go from 45mm to 27 mm offset you are moving the rim outboard more than 1", add to that the additional 1-1/4" due to the 10.5" wheel and the outer wheel rim is way out there (58.27mm more than the stock 8" rim). Take a string about 12" long and hang a weight on it. Hang the string from the top of your fender lip like a plumb bob and measure to the existing rim, then you will have a better idea where that 10.5" rim will be (58.27mm less than what you measure).
There are deep dish bullets out there for the 05 ... http://www.americanmuscle.com/bullittwheels.html
