Need opinions on how my rear end looks (Mustang that is)

Hi everyone,
I just blacked out the rear of my GT and need your opinions on which set up looks better. I definitely preferred the chrome bezels over the slotted covers when the trunk was satin silver, but now, I'm at a 50/50 split. Sooooo, I need to see what you all think to help sway my decision. Thanks.
Mark

We might be able to give you a more objective opinion/help if you posted a pic with both setup's...but what a pain in the a*s*s to do so...

I see nothing wrong with your current setup, I will keep mine as it is like this and I wouldn't change a thing.

He doesn't have both setups, all he has is the blackout panel and chrome tail-light bezels. He said he liked the chrome better before he had a blackout panel, but now that he has the blackout panel he thinks black tail-light covers might look better than chrome. So basically he wants pictures of the blackout panels with the black tail-light covers, like I posted. I think.....lol

Oh...ok, well I think with the black-out panel, the chrome would be too much...better with black tail-light covers..

Sorry about that guys. I've been having problems posting those pix for some unknown reason. I keep getting error messages even though the file size is smaller than the limit. Anyway, I have links to Image cave for the photos. The first is with the chrome bezels:

The second photo, was inspired by pantera72, and a few others here, after seeing a thread on black out panels on this site:

I agree, keep it simple and stay with the theme you have. I don't really like the chrome around the lights regardless of what Mustang they are on.

After seeing the pics I think the black covers flow better. I would recommend matching the paint on the bezels to the tail-panel, and it will look even better after that (I plan on doing it soon as well). Are the Moss/AVS bezels still the stock smoked color?

As far as the chrome, I have something in mind i've been planning on trying. I'll post it up if my results are positive.

Yes, they are translucent/smoke color.

What kind/brand of paint do you recommend painting them with? I was thinking a matte black trim paint, but unsure whether I should clear coat or not (probably make the black glossy?)

Pantera72 and Mark, who makes the dark bezels and how much?

Pantera72, I forgot how good a plain white car with a few subtle mods can look, very classic.

I used Duplicolor Trim Black paint on the Moss/AVS tail-light covers and on my chin spoiler. It was glossier than what I had planned on it being, but still looked pretty good. I didn't clear coat mine, but I really don't have that much experience at painting, so I wasn't sure if I should have either. I know that its convienent to be able to take the parts off and shot another coat on them with a rattle can anytime I need to. I'm not sure if that can be done with clear coat on top of the paint.

Thank you Jeff. AVS makes the "slotted tail-light covers" and they are sold at a few places. Moss was one of the the first to sell them, which is why so many people call them Moss bezels. I figured out who really made them after I got my package.

Thanks pantera72,
I now know to add these to the painting list right after my calipers, which I'm hoping to get done tomorrow.

I have another badge in mind, but it will be smaller, more low profile (as in not sticking out so far), and it will blend in more than the original.
