Need help choosing rims!

Whats up TMS Im going to get new rims on my 07 mustang and I was debating between 18s or 20s bullitts. I dont know what to choose some say 18 because more grip and others 20 more style. I dont race a lot but sometimes o do, oh and Im gona be lowring it with H&R Super sport Springs 1.7'' front and 1.9'' rear. What would yall recommend?
Thanks,
Angel

20s look better. 18s are too small on that body style unless you SLAM it in my opinion.

I agree with both 18 looks to small and would like have em bigger and i am going to drop it about 1.8'' all around, but that whole beefy muscle looks awesome!

If you are going to be racing and tracking your car a lot...the 18's would make more sense.

However if you are just street/hwy cruising.....the 20's would be the way to go.

The wheel wells on these cars have so much space that in most cases the 20's will fit and look better for most wheels. Though some 18's.....depending on the design will look good as well. A good example would be the OEM chrome 18 inch bullitt style wheel.

Well, I went through the same debate. I wanted 19's, couldn't decide between 18's or 20's since there were next to no 19's back then. Spent a ton of time looking at pics here on TMS and made my decision:

Depends on how much you want to spend..

19" take offs from a 2010+ or 18" take offs from a 05-09 mustang look great plus you save money on tires. Its better because you have a decent size looking rim and meat on the tired to grip the road

IMO i love the way 20's look but if you live in an area where you can scrap them or mess them up then I wouldn't bother. Only if your going for looks I would get them.

but it is up too you... I bought gt500 rims and love them

IMO 20s look wrong.
But I am old school.
19" is the biggest I would go.
I really like my 18" wheels, I even have a 2nd set.

I agree completely.

Mustangs are muscle cars and should have a tire with some beef and sidewall showing.

18's with a 255/45 or something similar will do the trick!
