My new chrome tail pipe covers don't fit!
I ordered some 3" X 7" chrome tail pipe extentions from Superior Automotive and they don't fit on my GT mufflers. I think maybe the stock pipe is flared? These only cost me like $18 shipped but I'm still upset. I guess I measured wrong.
What should I do?
What should I do?
I just measured the extensions and the inner diameter is 2.89", no wonder it doesn't fit. The exhaust pipe is 3" exactly. It says right on the product label:
Fits 3" Pipe
No it doesn't. I contacted the vendor, hopefully they give me a refund.
In the meantime, can somebody point me to some cheap (less than $10 each) throwaway chrome extensions? Thanks.

Dustin,
I know they are chromed, but .100" isn't a lot. That's 50 grand per side.
Can a muffler shop stretch them?
Either that or just get the right ones from the vendor. It just takes longer doing it that way.
Good luck.

Well, you have an open and shut case there. They have to take it back. "If the pipes don't fit, you must acquit!"
