My Mod Failed
I still don't understand the purpose of the front plates. I have heard explanations from something for the laser to hit off and cameras taking pictures at traffic lights, but states have had front plates longer than law enforcement has used laser for speed detection and cameras and the camera can just as easily be setup to take the picture of the rear of your car as it exits the intersection.
Andrew you have to PM me...I am dying over here.
Holderca1- the front plate allows peace officers to find the information they need twice as fast... i.e.- registered owner informationand expiration date, whether car is stolen or wanted, etc.......if lawyers were any more slicker, they would find a way to pass a bill to have them mounted on all four sides....

pretty noticable when you don't want them and your washing a vehicle that you paid enough money for to have an unmolested front bumper cover....I've tried looking up the price of the stock GT bumper in my Mitchells Database, but it has been updated yet for the month of Feburaray. You paid for an "undamaged" bumper didn't you. Wouldn't you be pissed off if someone door dinged you in the parking lot? It's the same thing....except appears the dealership did it to you.

However, if the state law requires that you have to have a front plate I'm sure the dealer drills out the dimples (GT) when they do the inspection and service. If you had done what I did. This wouldn't have happened. I let my dealer know weeks before my car was even built that I had a few stipulations:
A) No one drives my car exept the service manger-to determine if it's okay.
B) No front plate mount, I'll take my chances with the law. the plate is in my truck
c) No dealer badges, with the exception of a dealer frame on the back. (Friend of the family, gotta give him some cudos)
They acknowledged and followed. the owner of the dealership was a little dissapointed that he didn't get to drive a GT sitting outside his window, but he respected my wishes.

It's funny because when I was a kid, I lowered my pickup way below code and tinted my side widows. I would get a ticket. I had to raise the truck, remove the film, go to the CHP office and wait for a CHP officer to sign the back of my citation. Was worth the effort of re-doing it all when I was 16, not now!
Thought: How about super magnets to get your front plate signed off at the CHP office. Before I get a ton of replies about how the front bumper is not metal, use super magnets behind the plastic bumper to hold the license in place at the CHP ofice. Glue screw heads to the license plate holes for asthetics....hahah dam thats funny!
