I noticed MWAG says these are our of stock. I'm wandering if they just stopped taking orders because of the rubbing issue.Has anybody had any communications with them. I was hoping to order some of these but they're not taking any orders.

Can't tell you for sure but I ordered my extensions on 2/19/07 - the communications I have had with them (emails/phone) regarding delivery always involved them being backlogged in their paint department. Mine were shipped Friday and should be here Tuesday.

I sent them an email asking them about rubbing issues, have not heard back from them yet. To be truthful I havent even checked yet, just wanted to see what they would say about it.

I received an e-mail from them. It said they are investigating and have identified the problem with the rare rubbing issue and are taking steps to insure it cannot happen in the future.

They are also developing a plug for the prop rod cut out for those that have removed their prop rod.

Got mine delivered today. I guess some people have the rubbing and others do not. I am not sure what to do now. I guess, I will install them and see what happens. Of course, with the weather it may need to wait a few days.

I've had my unpainted set on for a couple weeks now, and yes they are rubbing as a few of you have seen. I also sent them a email, just to get my name on the list of customers seeing this issue.

I have about 400+ miles since the install and no problems. I did raise (twist) the hood stops as high as I could when I put them on.

I know it my sound silly, but can you measure the height of the rubber stops? This might give the rest of us a idea on how high to put them in order to have it not rub.

I was going to just keep on raising and re doing a quick spraypaint job on them untill they stop rubbing.

Thanks

OK - I went out to measure and instead decided to count the sections between each thread (groove). On each end, five (5) sections are exposed. The two in the middle have three (3) sections exposed. This is the max you can get out of them before the stops come completely out. FYI - the hood when down appears to me a little higher on the edges than before.

Plugs For Radiator Extensions

When the extensions came out, I believe Midwest was planning to come out with a plug for those who had removed the prop bar - anyone have an update?

Update on plugs. They are being painted now and are awaiting the tape. Two more weeks I was told yesterday.

I have mine also, along with some other engine comp. goodies that I'm installing over the next few days. I put my MRT hood struts on the other day so I'm looking for the plug as well. Thanks for the update ARBO.

I like the extensions but went with the unpainted ones to match the center better...I think it works ok and saved some $$$ for other mods...

I too am looking for the prop rod hole cover...

Appreciate the update. Since their battery cover was to come out after the fuse box cover - guess that may be MWAG's next offering
