MWAG "GLOSSY" Radiator Ext Covers Installed!!!

Here's some pics.

Bill-Quick run down of install incase you want to make a write-up.

Bolts and stuff provided by MWAG.

Notice difference in bolt length.

1)Remove bolt (10mm)

2)Place cover over area making sure these thingies (pic1) (can't think of a name for them) go under the rad cover demonstrated in (pic2).

3)Replace screw removed in step1 with new longer bolt provided by MWAG.

4)Install plastic screw. (provided by MWAG)

5)Repeat steps 1-4 on opposite side.

Finished product (Full gallery) has pics from several angles to give you an idea of how they fit.

Man those look nice I hope they make a left-side version that has no hole for the prop rod for those of us with struts. Thanks for posting those pics.

Thanks. MWAG is working on a plug not an entirely new piece. Oh well even with the hole it still looks better than not having any covers at all.

I wouldn't get a radiator cover. The gloss black starts at the bumper cover, goes up between the lights and grille, and continues to the gloss black extensions. The grille, however, is flat black and continues up to the flat black radiator cover. Looks good just the way it is.

Heard that before, Leo?

I agree with Tom. Plus It's a black car so I need as much contrast as I can get. Getting the rad cover painted would take away from the ext covers JMO. With that said if see some pics of it done on a black stang I may reconsider.

IMO the radiator cover and the extensions should not contrast. It should look like it goes all together. Hence Radiator "extensions". This is JMO of course

That's what I thought too, until I saw the GO with the painted extensions on the MWAG website.

Having the painted extensions just flows well..

2 things to consider:
1. that is Grabber Orange (which is unique & contrasts well w/black..like Halloween)
2. Is the grill going to stay stock?

For me?

Yes, I'm keeping the stock grill. I thought I saw someone here with TR extensions and it looked good.

It's just a matter of cutting loose $119 for something no one will see except at carshows (kinda like my strut tower covers).

2)Nope. Why would I do that?

1. Black kinda contrasts pretty good with white, too.
2. Yes.

They are extensions, but nothing says they have to match the radiator cover.

Real nice job with the directions. I "think" I'm leaving the radiator cover stock (black) since the center of my hood is black but thats a "definite maybe" until I get them. Ordered mine 2/19 and the word from MWAG last week was 2 more weeks. Was told that the plug for those with hood struts was being worked on and I think they said within 6 weeks

This did help me decide which to get, I will either be getting the completed set redfire or the stock color extensions. I think they should match also, but that is just my opinion. If I read correctly on their site, I think that MWAG only offers the radiator cover in flat body color finishes.
