MRT hood struts
MRT hood struts
Anybody have the MRT Hood Struts? I saw a guy with them on a Rousch at a car show this weekend and I like the idea that they bolt into the existing holes. I know that there was some hood struts that would loose compression after a while and let the hood fall. I'm hoping that was not the MRTs. Also, does anyone know who has the best proce on these?
I got the CDC ones becuase I wanted the brackets raw instead of black powder coated. The CDC ones are the same as the MRT ones otherwise. It's a great mod, I have been super happy with mine and it only takes a few minutes to install. I bought mine from Brenspeed, not sure where the best price is for the MRT ones.
+1 on that. I've had mine since June of 2006 and I love them. No problems. They give you easy access to the engine bay.
Thanks guys. I should have pulled the trigger on these a long time ago. Last weekend the wind came up at a car show and I was holding on to my hood to keep the prop rod from lifting our of the hole. I saw a price of $109 on MRTs website, does that sound about right?
I've heard several horro stoies of people at car shows that had the wind blow their hood off the prop rod and dent the hood. I dont want to take the chance. I ordered the hood struts direct from MRT this morning. Thanks for helping me make up my mind.
