Personally, me... no... i figure it's going to be a nice improvement over the heavier stock hood that i had with the huge drag enhancement device I had attached to it! LOL! Really would have like to try this hood out at the track! LOL!

what did you have before? also what does the hood weight? i was under the impression the stock hood only weighs 25lbs as its aluminum

hmmm... you know you might be right on the stock weight... I've had my big hood scoop on for quite a while... which add a bit of weight... LOL!

nope.. I've been driving for the last few days in the rain without the screen in (they're getting painted). I opened the hood... surprisingly not all the much water at all... just some right by the vents... so... that's not a problem in my book...

What kind of struts are you using? I thought I read that you shouldn't use struts on glass hoods.

I've got MRT hood struts... I've got a call into MRT to get more info on using hood struts... I will post as soon as I get more info...

I got the following response back from MRT... (hope this helps)
True that any hood can be damaged by excessive loading....aluminum, steel,
fiberglass, carbon fiber etc. The MRT hood has been reinforced to accommodate
the MRT hood struts. So all is good in MRT land!!!!
