mr bodykit big ram air hood.

just got the hood and wanted to show you guys how it looks. I just need to know what size nuts i need for the bolts of the hood. apparently it didnt come with them. I tried using 1/4 and 5/16 inch nuts.

I don't see the ram air? I see faux scoops, but no ram air.

Looks good, though. Will need to see it on the car to give a full opinion.

Willing to bet they are metric, maybe not but. They weren't in the box like taped to underside somewhere?

Go to the hardware store and get a varity of SS nuts, find right the size and slap them on, good to go.
What no holes for ram air?

nuts are so cheap, just go down the isle and grab two of each about that size. I would also guess them to be metric.

Any ford parts department can simply look up the schematic for the hood and tell you exactly what they are. All fasteners on S197's are metric.

Well I don't think I'll be going to Mr. Body Kits for any Mustang parts in the future.

Oops I stand corrected, lol. Please let us know who made that hood so we know to stay away from the manufacturer of it (if we choose to). I just know my Ford body shop would have a field day on pricing trying to get that hood to fit/work, especially if it's more work than just prepping it for paint.

Wow!!!....I am wondering about the drag cause by the huge vents...
If the vents cut open, too much air will go in and no place for all those air to escape from the engine, cause drag on the car....

honestly, I would check on their return policy. The quality appears to be terrible. The drivers side front is bowed or something, and it doesn't line up at all. But just as important (or more), that hood is made for the V6/GT fascia's, not the GT500 fascia. It won't match up. If you're getting a GT500 fascia, you should get a hood that is made for that. Trufiber has a few I know.
