That's a tough one man. Since they are only attached with thumb screws after install I see no easy way of keeping them from getting stolen.

The MRTs attach at the hinges which are sealed to the glass and would take some work to get off. Dont recall if it was double sided tape or a glass/metal bonder but I think it was the former.

No, but I live in a city with 3 high schools and a community college which equals tons of douche bags! I'll be going to that college next year lol

Without the mounting brackets they aren't really good for anything. The adhesive is very strong, but you could also put silicone around the edges of the brackets.

I had louvers on my rear window for a couple of years and liked them alot. It was held on by 4 thumb screws and no body ever messed with them. I say go for it odds adds are no one will mess with them

Why'd you get rid of them? In your opinion, what are the pros and cons?

I had the MRT ones and nobody could steal them. Anybody can cause damage to anything if they want.

pros: kept the int cooler, looked great on the car lots of complements,
cons: had to remove mine to clean the window, wind noise was up, vibrated at higher speeds 75mph+ <---that could have just been from the fitment.
I'll try to find a pic or two for you.

My MRT (metal) rear louvers were great. I got the prop rods that held it up for cleaning. And it was very secure up to my highest back road speed of 130 mph. No issuses at all. The MRT ones are made by VERSUS, good stuff.
Here's some rear views, this makes me miss my old car
