smallpurpleants,
You could use the two sided foam tape that is sticky on both sides, made by Scotch 3M. It sticks really well.
I drilled the holes for the plate and frame. I bent the frame into a slight V in the middle, so it would lay flat along the contour of bumper. Otherwise, the plate stuck out away from the centerline of the bumper.
I edited out the word bracket and replaced bracket with the word frame. Sorry for the slip up with wording. Brought to my attn. by upstate. Thanks.

My Miata (which I am selling to buy an 05 GT) has a hinged front licence plate. At rest, the plate hangs straight down in the air opening; at any speed, the wind resistance forces it back and up horizontal, therefore not impeding any airflow to the radiator/engine, and not ruining the smooth front end looks.

I don't know if this would work on the GT. I hate the looks of a front licence plate mounted on the bumper, but our jurisdiction requires a front plate. I haven't been stopped in the five years I have owned the car.

I live in a State that requires front plate as well. I haven't put it on the front yet, and I probably won't unless I get pulled over again. I did get pulled over after I had the car for a whole 3 days, for not having Front Plate. I don't think I should have been pulled over at all.......because I didn't have any plates other than a temp in the rear window. If it happens again, I will probably put it on....

If I had to Mount a Plate on the Front of My Car, Fist of All I Would SCREAM and Then CRY, but then I'd try to find a couple of L Shaped Brackets That Could be Mounted From Under the Bottom side of the Bumper (Where the Black Plastic Insert goes) and Drill the Holes going Upward from under the bumper, so they wouldn't be Visible from the front of the car when the Plate was removed. I would also Mount some sort of Cushioning Material, like Rubber Stoppers to the Backs of these Brackets to protect the paint in case someone Bumped the Plate so it wouldn't damage the paint on the bumper. See Diagram Below.

Well since I live in Canada I will always be stuck with a front plate so I drilled some holes into the bumper.

BC requires a front plate as well. I haven't put mine on yet though...was hoping someone would invent a bracket like TampaBear67 envisioned. Every time I pass an oncoming local constabulary, I cringe! I've got four choices I guess...
1. Get out the drill
2. Invent a bracket
3. Continue cringing
4. Move to Alberta!

Did you remove it for the pic in your profile?

I wouldn't use the 3M tape. That adhesive on that plastic bumper would be a #$@%! to ever get off.

Tampa's idea seems the best thus far.

Whenever I get a 'Stang though, I'm not gonna put on the front plate. The law be-damned!

So do I, but luckily, saskatchewan doesn't require front plates any longer.

When the front plate law as recinded last year, I had the holes in my bumper to contend with on my pontiac. I just bought some touchup paint, and painted 2 small carrage bolts the same color, and inserted them. You can't even notice anything is different, unless you get up really close.

My mustang, I never bothered with the front plate anyway. I figured a fine would be a small price to pay to not have it. Luckly, I never got in too much trouble over it.

That's a good idea TampaBear, wish you had alerted me to it about 3 years ago before I drilled into my bumper (stupid Ohio), but then again, I think the dealership already had holes drilled (stupid dealership).

Yup and then photoshopped the 2 holes so you don't see them.
