Molding GT500 Spoiler?

Wondering what it would look like and approx. what it would cost to mold a GT500 spoiler onto the lid? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Why not just buy one off ebay for $120 pre-painted?

He's not talking about making a mold of the spoiler, he's asking about taking an existing spoiler and having the joint where it meets the decklid filled and smoothed so it looks like one piece.

This sort of thing can be done, but the joined area can be prone to showing cracks eventually, since the plastic spoiler and metal decklid expand and contract at different rates when the temp changes

I appreciate the heads up.... You say its prone, do you think its more likely to happen or just a possibility? I would just love it to look factory!!!! Since I am already shaving the rear gas cap I would like to do it, but I am worried about it cracking now?

It's likely to happen eventually when bonding dissimilar materials. "eventually" could be years down the road if the bonding process is done well.

Ok, I kinda figured that was going to be the answer. Now if I am stubborn and want to do it anyways how bad would it be to say continually repair something like that every few years? Sorry for hounding you I just think it would look extremely good.

Probably not horrible, and I agree it could look pretty nice.
