I live in Port Washington and I have the C&L intake on my car. I would bring it out of the garage for a free set of the torch red option #2 covers.

Let me know, I am free most of the weekend or Monday and Tuesday.

PM me if you want me to come and let me know where you are at. Or I can dig up the receipt from my plenum cover.

Mine have been ordered!

Painted in High Gloss, Grabber Orange.

I'm hooked on MAG stuff.

After reading the thread it looks like that guy bought the matte black finish as opposed to just the plain plastic finish. If that makes anysense. I say this after looking at the pic of the GO stang which has matted orange covers. From my understanding these are the three options from MWAG.
1)Covers match factory rad cover
2)Covers painted to match car color but keep textured finsih. (Like the GO and Black stang)
3)Covers painted in glossy finish like the strut tower covers.

Just got off the phone with MWAG and the above was confirmed. The guy with the black stang bought the matte black finish which is why the didn't match the rad cover. So with that said here are the official prices I got from them.
$59 covers match the stock rad cover.
$79 covers painted in matte finish. (Like the GO and Black stang)
$99 covers painted in high gloss like their shock tower covers.

MWAG-Any chance you can post some pics of all three different options???? Close-ups please. Will you guys be offering these in a "package deal" ie buy these and a rad cover and save some dough???

Hey Leo, did you happen to ask about the plugs for those using hood struts?

I almost forgot. I was told they're still designing these as it was not thought of originally. I don't mind waiting as I think even without the plug that area of the car will look alot better. I just can't decide what finish I want since based on that I may need a new rad cover to match.

I ordered the High Gloss.

I think that gives a better impression of the color moving from the outside of the car as it flows to the inside and matches the engine bay paint and the MAG strut covers.

I also feel that if I have the extenders painted, but leave the radiator cover in its orginal, unpainted, textured finish that the overall look will appear to be like something Ford would have done themsleves.

The covers in this pic are textured. Just imagine a smoother and shiny finish.

I agree that for any color other than black the contrast of the glossy extensions and the stock rad cover will look great. For us black stang owners though I think it's best to get the $59 dollar plain ones or go all out and buy the glossy extensions along with a new rad cover to match. JMO. I think I may wait and see to see some different variations before deciding which route to go.

I guess I am the odd bird who uses struts, but I left the prop on my car as a kind of backup. Nevermind that the struts don't prop the hood up far enough to use both....

I am curios about your comment about the Matte finish looking the best. I would think that the glossy finish would look the best because it would match the exterior...

Funny you should say that. My Redline Quicklift Elite struts actually hold the hood up about 1" HIGHER than the prop rod.

Did you install with the lower brackets to the front or back near the hinge?

I just ordered mine, Windveil Blue High Gloss finish. I was going to go up there to do the test fit as I have the C&L intake but last Tuesday we got too much snow and unfortunately today I have to attend a funeral. But, as soon as I get them I'll post pics and let you all know how they fit with the intake. They should be fine judging by the previously posted pictures but I'll update when they arrive.

Thanks,

That sucks. Good thing I ordered mine already. They better not try and pull a fast one on me.

I got a set to test today and here are some pictures. For you guys with a C&L they fit fine and do not interfere at all. The only issue I had was the Ford fascia bolts on my '05 were too short to fit with the thickness of the extensions and I had to get longer ones from the hardware store. Otherwise absolutely no problems with their product.
