Midwest auto gear mirror insert install

OK I know the topic makes me seem stupid, since its really a no brainer, LOL
But I was wondering what others were doing as far as placement of the tape for the best stick? I was thinking of cutting a piece in 1/2 or so to try and get the most coverage on the edges, but not sure if that would be best or not. I don't have a ton of experience with sticking things on my car, I prefer nuts and bolts, [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/04.gif[/img]
I went and read alot of the posts in the picture thread and it sounds like some people got instructions with thiers on placement etc possibly? All I got were the inserts, 2 wipes, 6 strips, and a receipt
