Metallic fuel filler door???

What's this? New for 2008? And for $135 does it lock? Or have a release from the inside?

The fuel door is same as a stock door. No lock and and no latch.

Wow... I guess we're not charging enough for our "metallic" fuel doors

I thought they were supposed to retail these things at like 85.00 or so... heck, even the fuel door in the Ford Racing catalog is about 90-something, and it's nowhere near our door in terms of fit/finish and quality. This is much like the pieces made currently for the 04-07 F-series by some of the import companies, where it used the stock hinge mechanism and the whole "door" swings out away from the truck.

Brandon, what is your impression of the piece? PM me directly if you don't want to post it in the forum - I just haven't seen one close-up yet, but even the drawings from a few months ago didn't do much for me based upon how it looked like it was being made (stamped aluminum skin ~.045" would be my guess)

It has OEM fit and style, just doesn't live up to what most of the members here may or may not want. I got it below cost thru a local vendor rep who said it would look good on my car, I threw at him and he gave it back.
