Making different bulbs blink for stock taillights?
Making different bulbs blink for stock taillights?
I know the CDC or W.E. sets are the things most have, but I was trying to come up with something like this: (click pic)
Is it as simple as rearranging the wiring? Just trying to keep a simple look.

Swapping bulbs......
figures the most obvious thing I'd overlook....man, I've had a long day at work....
Do the "teeth" for the bulb housing differ for each slot? If not, I'll just do that...

However, I have since bought a sequential kit for my 08 Mustang.
On the subject of taillamps... I didn't see it in this section. Hope I'm not threadjacking too much...
How do you wire up the interior light so that they all come on the same? Is it just permissible to splice into one of the current dual lamp socket wires and add a third? Or would that screw up the smart junction or something?
In the *old* days, I'd just be doing it... these famdangled fancily wired cars... I don't wanna kill the engine by puttin' on the brake light...
/yes, my searchfu is weak.

All 3 of my brake/tail lights work for both functions, I changed out the inboard socket to a 3-wire and spliced the third wire into the brake wire on the middle one. I think that's how Ford should have done it in the first place. The how-to is on this site somewhere.
I did that too, before switching to sequentials.
I agree, Ford should have made them all light up, and it has baffled me they they didn't. The taillights they're emulating did not work the way they do... but then, they were single bulbs as well, so there's that.
But anyway... so it's safe. That's what I needed to know. Off to the store!
