Making the best of a situation...new rims and tires.

Whinnie has new "17 Deep Dish black Buillitt wheels and Riken Raptor semi siped tires.

To start of yesterday was not the best, I spilled coffee at breakfast and iced tea on me at lunch, and had a tiring day of substitute teaching. Then, after work I had to pick up my parents dog from the kennel (they were on a Cruise) and on the way back I almost missed the turn off to the highway. I should have not bothered, but it is what it is. I didn't want to make a crazy move and have the dog thrown around the interior, but I didn't make a sharp enough turn to avoid the median. I bent one of the rims and tore the same tire. I was able to get home and to the nearest tire/wheel store.

Meanwhile all of this is going on, I had to be at the airport (40 minutes away) within 2 hours. So, I called them, they worked with me to get in and out as fast as they could. I was planning on getting new rims and !8" tires in the spring, as these are the original OEM tires from day one. But this median accident sped up the process. I am just lucky and glad it wasn't any worse. The dog is fine and so am I. I had been worrying all the while I waited for the car to be done, but it was not needed. I am still learning to let things just be.

I think the outcome was good. The deep dish wheels look so good in my opinion.

Here are the pictures!
and a video of it.

Thank you Dennis, me too! I was beginning to think this thread was going unnoticed (no pun intended).
