may i recommend something ? if you go with 20s its gonna hurt your peformance ( ill draw out a description below ) you should go with something suttle like 18s then if you juts want to drop it a little look into Steeda but you can also do their whole suspension kit if you really want the car to handle better

Reasoning Not To Do 20" Wheels:
- every extra lb over stock of rotating mass per wheel = 10lbs per dead weight( per wheel )
- every 110-120lbs of dead weight on a car(wether it be wheels or stereo equiptment, body kit w/e) is a 10th off your 1/4 mile time
- 20s on a mustang wont look all that great with a drop, 18s will make it look really clean you dont wanna go overboard but its all up to you what you wanna do

steeda has springs that lower the car an exact inch and their stuff is extremely good unfortionatly the url doesnt change when you browse their site but ill walk you thru it to find them lol www.Steeda.com, click on MUSTANG.click on the big picture of the red 2005 mustang, scroll down to " SUSPENSION/HANDLING there will be a sub-category for front and the 1st 1 listed is 4 springs all around that will drop the car 1" they go for $259.95

I have 20's on mine; I just recieved my JLT CAI today. On Friday I am going into the dyno shop for a dyno/tune. I have no other mods on my car, it is bone stock. I will do a before and after dyno for the CAI, but the before dyno will give us an idea of how much hp is at the rear wheels with 20's. I will post the dyno sheet if you like, that way you can compare someone else's stock dyno to my stock dyno w/ 20's.
I personally did not feel any loss at all when I made the change, but who knows?

As for lowering it, I went with Eibach's Pro Kit which lowers the car about 1.5 inches. Now some people say that if you lower your car you will need to get camber plates to get a proper alignment. I, on the other hand have only the springs; the guys at Les Schwab had no problem aligning my car.

Also, I paid $500 out the door for the lowering job. Broken down it = $250 for prokit + $225 for labor and alignment + $25 for taxes (numbers are estimated)

the wheels prob wont lower your hp just depending on how heavy there is possibility of slowing down in the 1/4 mile cause its extra rotating mass and weight you have 2 carry along

Steeda is perfect for that 1" drop. Had mine installed for a while and absolutley no complaints.

Kevin, do a search on lowering or suspension. Tons of info out there. I installed the Eibach Pro Kit and it has been confirmed that in order for you to get a proper alignment camber plates need to be installed. So not as simple as it would appear to lower a car "properly".
