After searching TMS for mount options I realized it's not the front plate that bothers me as much as the way it breaks up the lines on the front of the car. A low mount plate was my solution. It leaves the upper and lower bumper horizontal lines intact and only breaks up the lower valance. As a bonus it blocks less of the center air intake area. Not bad. Except, backing out of my driveway would rip it off my car.

 

Good looks, poor functionality for me. Too many speed bumps here that would rip it off

 

I think the grass makes it look lower than it is. No bottoming out problems
at all so far. Heres a side view. Its also mounted at an angle to lower it's profile
and match the front fascia angle. If I had plans to lower the car it would definitely be a
problem.

Just becareful with it being that low, some cops (me being in training) will give you crap that its too low or "unclear" and still give you a ticket.
