Louvers, Keep'um or Toss'um??

I've been considering removing my louvers for a while now but can't commit 100%.

Here's a couple things going through my head to consider....

I hate that the louvers don't follow the lines or shape of the roof line or any other part of the car for that matter.

I'd like to keep some form of louver but not 100% on any other louver out right now. Yes I've seen them all (Roush, DWG, SS, SHR etc..)

If I do remove them I think I'd have to get my 1/4 window's re-tinted to limo tint as I'd want the glass to blend in with the paint as much as possible and keep the greyish stuff around the window from being as visible.

Anyways here's a pic of the car with louvers. Don't have a pic without so use your imagination or if somebody would be so kind as to photo shop the louver that'd be great.

Leo your car looks absolutely awesome man. If I would pick one thing on the whole car to change the only thing would be the louvers. Pull them off for a while. I like louvers as much as the next guy, but I don't think these are quite right for your car. I think these cars need something on the quarter windows, but I am really not feeling these on yours. I think its the shaker that is throwing it off for me. The shaker is gorgeous I would never lose that, but I think these louvers in particular don't go with the shaker. Anyway. Take them off.

Otherwise, love the wheels, chin spoiler , shaker, a47 mirrors, ducktail spoiler, stance. It all looks perfect.

Go with the tint for a while. You can always put the louvers back on later if you want.

Personally, I love the MRT louvres, way better than all of the kinda "curvy" or rounded louvres, which look too modern (including the quarter window replacement louvres). I'm not sure what you mean about the lines, I think the MRTs follow the lines real nice.

Anyway, one set of quarter window coverings I find intriguing is the Cervinis, and American Muscle has a picture of them on a black s197. I still prefer the MRTs, but just an idea.

Ditch the current ones and go with the SHR ones instead.

You have the best looking stick-on louvers there are But I'm partial since that's what I have.

The louvers was always something that bugged me with your car, but not my car so I kept my mouth shut.. now that you are asking.. I say louverless, or SHR's.

I prefer the look of the SS quarter window scoop, but if you're set on a louver then I think SHR is the only way to go.

Take them off and look for another type but not the SHR ones, I think they are ugly IMHO. Everything else looks good!

I've considered the SHR's and I don't like them. The only two options for me are keeping the current ones or going louver-less.

Have you considered mini-blinds? Or maybe a nice tassled fabric drape.

I say remove them for another brand. The ones you have are too square-ish

Then I vote "less". The chin, mirrors and ducktail give your car a sleek look (except for the hoodscoop but that looks aggressive ).. I think your current louvers breakup the sleek look.

In that case I vote "less" as well. Those stick out too much.

Where's the "I dunno" option.

I am totally non-commited to any louvers. If there were any that I would consider it'd be the same ones that TacoBill has. The rest I just don't like that much.... Now for me since I tinted the 1/4 windows already and paid for them I can't justify covering them up by paying for something else that I'm not thrilled about, so I leave 'em as is.

I've seen the inside of the SHRs and while it's a fabulous idea I can't get around busting out that window the rest... meh. Kinda like the scoops infront of the rear wheels.. stick on crap, IMO. (just like my chin and ducktail that I love thank you very much).
