The CDC louvers are the only ones that look like the 68 louvers. If look at the pictures from a 68, the louvers aren't flush with body. SHR look sunken in IMO.

I too was a hater of the scoops until I picked up my CS.

Leo - If the choose is "keep 'em" and "toss 'em"

I'm voting for the latter. They're a little bulky and don't follow the lines. You already know what you want to do. Toss 'em.

yeps, I wasn't crazy about the side scoops either, but they grew on me. Now I think they make the car look more aggressive. Now if they were only functional...

Well, I'm a detractor, I guess, but I think the MRTs follow the lines of the car very well. Maybe not exactly perfect, but pretty close. In particular, the louvres follow the "bulge" of the car, i.e. the line from the fender to the roofline, very well (rather than horizontal the roofline or the fenderline itself). The night picture shows this pretty well, as does the first day picture, but seeing it up close is better.

Anyway, I love my louvres, and also get a lot of comments on them. I like looking in the mirror and seeing them stick out an inch, too. Doesn't look as bolt-on to me as the fake side scoops and stuff.

My $.02.

Maybe saying that they don't follow the lines was an incorrect statement. I guess what I was trying say is that it looks out of place i.e. tacked on. It creates an unnatural bulge. (Insert joke here).

The vote so far looks to be overwhelmingly in favor of taking them off.

When I was cleaning the ROUSH I pulled mine off to clean the glass and the car didn't look right without them. I like the scoop version of louvers. Like on the Eleanor. If you made them functional using the Agent 47 stuff that would be **** & gravy!

I am partial to these:

For your car these would be the best fit, IMO:

I like the look of them but I don't think anyone has perfected the perfect look to them on the 05+'s.
The 65-66 vents were more flush similar to the SHR ones but they are not all the same size. The slats are different sizes as the get larger. The larger ones are actually the smallest. They are also angled different.
The 67-68's are not flush and are raised with more and much smaller slats.
The inside had a slide lever to open and close the vent which was suppose to let cigarette and cigar smoke out of the cabin. That's how they advertised it.

Thanks all for voting. I removed them last night. I'm pretty happy with the way it looks now. I'll probably hold on to the louvers for a couple weeks in case I change my mind though. With that said if anyones looking for CDC louvers painted in black I'll be selling them for $100 plus shipping.

I dunno. There's a painted pair in the for sale section that started at $75, has dropped to $55 (or $50 maybe) and still no sale...

That guy should stop lowering the price. People aren't ignoring them because of his price it's because he has a very limited group of possible buyers since they're an uncommon color (windvail blue).

All you needed to do is finish the job with rear louvers.
