Looking for some lightweight Wheels - Help please
Hi there
Currently am looking for ways to drop some weight of my car and increase performance by doing so.
Car is a Saleen SC281 with 480RWHP.
Currently running 20x9" and 20x10" Saleen Chrome wheels, anybody know how much these weigh? They are **** heavy!
Am looking for something lightweight, but needs to clear my Shelby GT500 brake kit, ideally 18" in size and want as light as possible.
I love the look of the Steeda Black Pentar wheels, but am unsure on the weight, ideally aiming for 20lbs or less per wheel.
Anyone here running Pentar wheels?

Hi there
Well weighed my Saleen wheels and tyres today.
Saleen 20x10" wheel weighs 38-40lbs
Pirelli 275/40/20 weighs 32lbs
Total combined weight 72lbs
So definetely need something lighter, but can anyone point me in the direction of a decent wheel shop please online and one which list wheel weights.

I'd take a look at Enkei RPF1's in 18" sizes, they have them in 18x9 and 18x9.5 and they weigh 17-18 lbs each. Also take a look at tire weights. You don't want to compromise grip more than you have to, but the same size tire can vary in weight as much as 5+ lbs from one model/brand to another. Edge Racing and Tire Rack both list wheel and tire weights on their sites.
One of the wheel/tire combinations I'm considering for my '08 is the 17x9 Enkei RPF1 with 255/45 General UHP tires for a total weight of 39 lbs per corner (stock is around 50 lbs per corner)

CT-R 18" wheels will clear the Shelby brakes. They weigh 26 pounds each, significantly less than your current wheels. Looks like they only have chrome 18x9's available right now, unless their website isn't updated. http://www.ctrwheels.com/chrome.htm

HI there
Yes I do like the Enkei RPF1's and the RP03 I just wish they came in black, could they painted black and look professionally/factory done?

kazera kz-a's in 18" inch.
they clear my gt500 brembos, are pretty darn cheap on tirerack.com and have a simple satin black option, with polished lip.
like you, i'm breathing through a saleen sc and the 18x9.5 width lets me run 285/40 series tires.

I've seen various sizes and fitments of the RPF1 in black over the years, but apparently they aren't available in black in every size and fitment.

Try these, very similar to the Wed Sports. Not as wide at 18x8.5/18X9.5 and 1lb heavier. You should still be able to run a 295 series tire in the rear even though it's not as wide.
