Ford part # for the Molded Splash Guards is Base Part No. 16A550. Flat Splash Guars are Base Part No. 16A550. The accesories catalog does not show a front set, just rear sets.

I know why your wanting mud guards, I was thinking I wanted them also to protect my paint from road crud spalshed up. Im going to be getting clear 3M paint protection , cheepest price I found here -

http://www.stickercity.com/store/cus...me.php?cat=879

http://www.invinca-shield.com/asp/genkit.asp?kit=1451

Like under $400 will protect your front end, headlights, rocker panels.Im going to get some extra bulk film and have it put behind my wheels where mud would splash instead of splash guards. If you do a search for clear bras you will find many sites with clear paint protection like Stongard or Xpel or a bunch of others.

This is THE way to go, UV protection,. invisible when installed, it can be washed and waxed like the rest of your car, last like 7 years the you can replace it. Protects paint from chips or scratches and in the south , the worst paint killer of all , the LOVE BUG!!

I dont sell this stuff but beleive me if your looking at mud guards, you want clear film instead. Ill be getting mine soon and Ill post some pics, altough you wont be able to see the edge unless you get real close. From a distance, you cant tell its there.

Dude!!!! Why???? Dirt / Mud is not going to hurt your paint. Just hose it off before you wash it.
The sad thing is my wife asked what in the world is someone putting mudguards on a Mustang for.
I promise....that is very sad.
She isn't really a car person.

You might be a redneck if you have to have mudflaps on your '05 Mustang cause you spent all your money on the car, not your driveway.

The things that might make you a redneck are the desire to be one, the total appreciation of Jeff Foxworthy's humor, the desire to place a gun rack in your Mustang, and using the bath tub in your mobile home as a parts cleaner.

Personally I like the look of those mud flaps on AZLitigators car... They provide benefit on some of the less than well maintained roads in this desert sand box, AND they're not annoyingly obvious.

dirt/mud will wash off but Love-Bug guts and blood doesnt wash off that easy.
Mudflaps arent bad, come drive the roads in south florida where they are under a constant state of construction..if the pebbles, rocks and sand doesnt kill the paint, then all the stinkin' tar will.
the clear proctcive film is a good idea though. anyone know how long the film will last?

Kevin from all the web sites I read, and there are many, they say aprox 7 years. And most all the film has UV protection in it. For us Fla folks I dont see any options, I've had too many front bumpers ruined by love bugs. And I dont know if any of you all are looking at bra's for your front end , but if you are , let me warn you, please dont!! I had one on a black Mazda pichup, after a year or two, the dust and dirt that get behind the bra and the heat generated by a black bra, ruin your paint !! Clear film is the answer to all paint protection I think.

I bought the rear mudflaps from our local Ford dealer. The ones for the V6 say Mustang, the ones for the GT don't. I put them on because within a few weeks of driving out here on our crappy desert roads there were getting to be small paint chips behind the rear wheels. They blend in with the car pretty well, and now I don't have to worry about paint chips there now.

for the money that you are spending on the ugly hiney mudflaps, you could afford to paint the qt panels every year or two, and it would be well worth the money so that your 05 didn't look like an 18 wheeler w/ mudflaps.
Just My Opinion.....but then again....I'm probably right as usual...

Hey Bucky,
Nothing wrong with protecting your investment. By your tone I'd bet you wear your ball hat backwards all the time. Am I right??? I got mine from the local dealer yesterday. Got a white Vert and am tired of cleaning the entire side of the car every other day. Hey Azlitigator. I think they blend pretty well. Makes your tires look wider. Hope mine look as good. Bucky, didn't your momma tell ya if you couldn't say anything nice deep your mouth shut!!! Just my opinion. And I am usually right!!!!!!!!
