Does anybody know what Cervinis means when they say:

"This hood is 26" wide in the front, 30" wide in the rear, 2" high in the front, and 1" high in the rear. Also Available as Lift-off for $225. Call for details. LIFT-OFF HOODS ARE MADE TO ORDER, AND NON-REFUNDABLE"

What is a "Lift-off" and why is it over $200 cheaper than the regular hood?

I think its so you can custom mount it.

I believe lift off hoods are only held on by pins. Therefore you can remove them quickly and easily.
