Ben thanks for the speedy delivery on the bracket. It all turned out pretty nice. I must admit I overtightened a bit on new paint and it skweshed it a little. But thats underneath so no big deal. I love the set up. thanks again.

p.s. still waiting on license cover, and my front one is pretty bent up, LOL

Yeah I was going to say the front plate is a wreck ... But it looks like it turned out quite well!... So it tightened up quite well ?

It almost looks like it sticks out a little too far.. maybe 1/2" too far, but either way it worked, I'm glad you like it..

No it's perfect, the shot isnt that close up. I like it exactly where it is, otherwise more of a chance it bouncing/crushing into bumper if someone rubs it. I think its the perfect measurment. Leaves about a 1/2" gap. Thanks I think I am going to get some stick on rubber little bumpers for the top, just incase someone does rub it the rubber stops will help with the bump.

Very Cool ! Glad to hear it, with the GT bumper if I press the plate into the bumper the weather stripping will hit the bumper before the plate as the middle does not stick out very much (as it does for the CS and Roush..) That's why even on the CS my bracket is much farther away from the bumper.

So I guess now I can say I make a bracket for:
Shelby GT
Mustang GT 2005-2007 (2008?)
Mustang CS
And Roush Front Bumper (Are there different Roush bumpers?)

Work's just fine with the Mustang GT 2008 models, installed mine a few days ago, even though I ordered the brackets long before I even had the car, and had them sitting in my closet.

roush325 if you want to save a few bucks, I decided not to use mine. I ended up drilling into the front bumper after all. They were on the car justr fine. So if interested let me know. thanks

Odd Why would you have drilled holes, I just love my car when I remove the plate for shows or even picture shoots without the holes in the bumper...

What made you decide to drill the holes... After all you said you were quite happy with the bracket.

Well the first time I put it on, i overtightened and it sort of squeweshed the paint because it was only a couple days old paint job. No big deal because it was underneath. I got my car washed the other day and it bent/ moved it around. Also the frames I had bought to put on the logo caps I would not be able to use bolts coming from the other direction. I tried to find nuts that were low profile but that still was too tall for the caps to snap on. So I just decided to bite the bullet and put on a nice frame. Plus too hard to take on and off on weekend basis. IF it were just the wingnuts that would be easier. I would also recommend making the spacers with tubing instead of nuts. But it was working fine. I like the design.

p.s. does anyone know what those two small holel are in the rear plate area. Theres nothing there.

INteresting, thanks for the feedback. As for the using standoffs instead of the nuts for spacers, 3 nuts vs standoffs ... the standoffs are about 15x the price, plus they would serve the same purpose.

I'm surprised you were able to bend it, once the Aluminum is cured from the bending, it is just as tuff as it was before I bent it.

Wingnuts has been brought up before, I'm not sure if they would undo over time, and I don't want to find out. So I decided to use nylon lock nuts.

As for the too hard to install/uninstall, I'm surprised as I can take it on/off in less than 5 minutes.

I went into the local hardware shop and picked up 2 wingnuts to replace the lock nuts.

The plate is much easier to add and remove with 4 wing nuts, cause no tools needed

I would imagine it would be!!... Keep an eye on it, and let us know how it goes, I haven't had the ***** to try it with wing nuts - I don't want to loose one of the plates in which I paid $235cdn for the pair!

UPDATE:

Sadly I haven't been didn't check the wingnuts regularly, but yesterday before washing the car, I found one of out of the 4 wing nuts is gone.

The other 3 were pretty tight on there. Not able to verify how long before the wingnut came off, but it's been alittle over a month since I replaced the locknuts with wingnuts.

Dang! Thankfully you didn't loose your plate!.... One thing I tried to find were wing nuts that had nylon inserts as part of them, but they don't seem to exist (they might be to tight to tighten by hand anyway).

I think you'lll find once you attach/remove it a few times it doesn't take long except for the need of a 3/8" socket and mini socket wrench

You could always try blue loctite (medium strength) to keep the wingnuts from loosening from vibration.

Yep that could work never thought of it, but then you would need to carry around a tube of it That's what I use to attach the 3 10-24 nuts on the back bolts of each bracket.
