Guys,
After having no luck finding an installer in my area to put on Lemans stripes on my GT I opted to seize the moment and do it myself. After having installed the GT300 rocker panel stripes from Graphics Express I bought their 20 piece Lemans stripe set. So far I've got the hood and roof stripes installed and I'm about to do the rear end.
My question for those who've done this themselves is did you remove the spoiler to get better access when installing the trunk stripe or did you just work around the spoiler? And if by chance you did remove the spoiler are there any special tricks to follow? I seem to recall someone stating earlier that the feet of the spoiler are glued to the trunk lid.
Thanks for your input. Any BTW I did buy a couple of extra feet of vinyl to try and stripe the front bumper, since the kit doesn't include this!

I was about to say the same thing. The spoiler is not fun to take off. You'd actually stand a good chance of bending your decklid. It's just not worth it. Originally when I had vinyl stripes on my car and the stock spoiler, I did not take it off. You'll never see the unstriped area under the spoiler. Just bring the vinyl a few inches around each end and it will look fine.

The spoiler is not glued on, but the "feet" are stuck down with some heavy duty double-sided tape. If you do decide to remove the spoiler, have a friend help to gently pull up on the spoiler, while you exacto knife away at the spongy tape.

If I needed an excuse for spoiler delete, now I'd have it. If you're gonna take the thing off, how's about a ducktail?? It would add some cred to the stripes IMHO.

The problem with that is you'd have to spend anywhere from $200-$300 to have the stock spoiler holes welded and the whole trunk repainted. If you have the money though, do it. Ducktails rule, spoilers drool...
