I just put in led license plate lights in today! Did you by any chance touch the as actual leds? Like mine had about 6 of them on there. Like I put one in with power on, lit up an immediately went out. I Dont know if its cause I touched the LEDs or if they're bad lights.

Trouble Shooting:
Some cars may need the use of a resistor "25 Ohm, 25 Watt LED load resistor (ea)". There is no logic as to which cars needs them. When you install the bulb and it flashes on and then remains off, then you will need a resistor.

I read that on the site where I bought my switchbacks (they also sell the license plate lights). Any chance that's the issue you're having?

Your problem is weird. Mine may be worse haha

On my 05 my license plate light works just fine with LEDs but on my side marker lights I couldn't get them to work with LEDs, so I just Hooked them all up through my license plate light w/o problems

i had problems getting them to work too. i did find out you have to reset the light switch after you change the bulb, and it might be a different voltage? . i couldnt get the leds i bought to work either. thanks, maybe i`ll try that amazon link

Maybe its a 05 thing ? some cars they work and some don't . I tried 3 or 4 kinds and none of them ever worked . maybe ill order a resistor but at this point not a big deal. they are nice in the map lights though !

Did you try turning them on & off inside the cab after installation? Kinda a dumb question but it happens.

Those that installed with no issues, would y'all care to post your year model? Same to those that needed a resistor or are having problems...

I'd bet that they changed something in the wiring somewhere along the way.

I have a 2006, LED's inside and out, 2011 GT with LED inside red lights, no issues, turn the bulbs around and see if that works. They only work one way. I know it sounds silly but turn them around. I have the LED turn single that switch color from white to amber when they blink on my 2011... Hid Guy .com

08 GT and 06 GT, no problems with LED install.

But I will say, I don't know if its a bulb issue or maybe car, but the first time I tried it, the bulb lit up and immediately went out. Not sure if I was hitting the lights with my finger and screwing the actual LED's up. So I used a piece of paper to push the bulb in and it worked perfect on my 08 and 06. So make sure when you guys are installing, to not touch the LED's. Its hard to not do so on install, so try using a piece of paper to push them into place.
